Add a PDF watermark by placing a line of identifying text on the document before sharing, such as "INTERNAL COPY," "DRAFT," or the unit name. The content is limited to 120 characters. You can choose the transparency as Light, Medium, or Bold and the rotation angle as 90°, 180°, or 270°. Choose settings to make the watermark visible without covering the text underneath.
Watermarks are used to classify the release or remind recipients of the intended use. They do not replace encryption, digital signatures, or copy controls. The transparency and rotation angle should be selected based on the document background. For dark charts or full-page images, check multiple pages because the same transparency level may be visible on white backgrounds but blend into colorful areas.

The contrast changes depending on the background of each page. A Medium watermark is easily visible on a white background but may blend into dark or detailed images. Choose Bold if the document mainly consists of images, then check whether the text covers important content. The interface applies a common setting to the entire document.

If you need a logo, an image seal, or precise placement, you will need an editor that supports image watermarks; do not turn the logo name into special characters as font rendering may differ.
No. A watermark is just a visible label that indicates the status or source of a document. It does not lock the ability to open, print, edit, or extract content. For sensitive documents, use the appropriate permission process or encrypt the PDF with a password. A digital signature is more suitable if you need to verify the origin.
