Terms of use
The conditions for using the online PDF tools, your responsibility for content, and the limits of Tools.4PDF.Net.
Last updated: September 8, 2026Scope and acceptance
These terms apply when you access or use the PDF tools at Tools.4PDF.Net. By submitting a job, you confirm that you have read the relevant information on the tool page and agree to use the service within the scope described.
This page states the conditions for using the service and is not legal advice. It does not identify an unpublished legal entity, address, or jurisdiction. Seek appropriate advice if you have a specific legal question.
Rights and responsibilities for documents
You may upload and process only documents that you own or have the legal right to use. Do not use the service to violate privacy, copyright, trade secrets, or the law.
You decide what content to submit, which processing options to apply, and how to use the result. If you process a document for another person or an organization, you are responsible for obtaining any required permission and following the internal rules that apply to it.
- Do not upload illegal content, content that infringes rights, or content you are not authorized to process.
- Do not provide more sensitive data than the job needs.
- Keep the original, download results on time, and check the output.
- Protect your session cookie, passwords, digital certificates, and signed links.
How the tools are provided
Processing runs on the server, and tasks may enter a queue. Files travel through signed links, belong to a job in an anonymous session, and remain in private storage. The current tools do not require an account.
Job access expires after one hour. Cleanup runs every five minutes, so physical deletion may occur shortly after expiration. Download any results you need to your device. The service is not a repository or backup system.
Passwords used for some PDF encryption, decryption, or signing tasks are protected with AES-256-GCM before they are stored with a job and are decrypted only during processing. This technical measure does not remove every risk inherent in an online service.
Processing results
The tools are provided as they currently operate. Conversion, OCR, compression, repair, and digital signing results depend on the source file's structure. Check the result before using it for legal records, long-term storage, or an important process.
The service does not guarantee that every file will be accepted, every format will be preserved exactly, OCR will be perfectly accurate, compression will always reach a specific size, or a damaged file can be recovered. Files with unusual fonts, image layers, forms, signatures, or damaged structures may produce unexpected results.
Keep the original and verify the content, layout, page order, signatures, permissions, and compatibility with suitable software before relying on a result.
Acceptable use
Do not try to bypass upload limits, disrupt the queue, access jobs from another session, or automate traffic that affects other users.
Do not probe URLs, cookies, or job IDs; bypass size, MIME type, or format signature checks; upload malware; or use the service for unauthorized security testing. The service may reject or stop jobs that are invalid, risky, or disruptive.
Availability and changes
Tools may be temporarily unavailable because of maintenance, high demand, dependency failures, or technical changes. Queue and processing times depend on file type, size, complexity, and system load. The service makes no fixed commitment for uptime, completion time, or support response time.
The tool catalog, limits, options, and operation may change to improve safety and reliability. If a change significantly affects data handling or conditions of use, the relevant information should be updated.
Service limitations
No online system can completely prevent errors, data loss, or unintended access. Based on its published information, Tools.4PDF.Net offers no legal guarantee, compliance certification, security badge, or promise that the service suits every specialized purpose.
Decide whether the service is suitable before uploading a document, especially for confidential records, tightly regulated data, or processes with serious consequences. If a task requires specialized controls, use a solution approved by your organization.
Contact and issue reports
For questions about these terms, bug reports, or security issues, contact support@4pdf.net. Include the tool name, time, error code, and reproduction steps using nonsensitive sample data.
Do not email confidential documents, passwords, private keys, digital certificates, or active download links. Requests are reviewed based on their contents, impact, and reproducible information. There is no fixed response SLA.
