Learn about this tool
PDF splitting is used to divide a document by a specific page or page range. After selecting a PDF, enter the range like 1-3,5 using commas and hyphens according to the instructions on the form. The tool will process the entered ranges, allowing you to send only the relevant parts instead of a long report.
While the page deletion function removes unnecessary parts, this tool splits the source document according to the ranges you specify. Compare the preview with the actual page positions in the PDF, especially when the document has a cover but the content starts numbering from 1. If you enter an incorrect range or a page number that exceeds the document length, the result may not be as expected.
Enter the page range corresponding to each chapter that needs to be studied or sent to a group of students.
Extract only the pages containing the appendix for colleagues to review without having to download the entire report.
Based on the page numbers, split a long scanned file into identified records.

Frequently asked questions
Separate individual pages with commas and write consecutive page ranges with a dash, for example 1-3,5. The input box also accepts selecting all according to the suggestions on the interface, although this selection is usually not necessary when splitting the document. Do not add the word "page" to the string and remember to check the separators before sending.
Splitting a PDF is suitable when you want to divide a document by one or more specified ranges. Extracting pages creates a new PDF consisting only of the pages you want to keep, in the exact order entered. If you want to combine non-consecutive pages into a selective document, you should use Extract Pages. If you need to divide the document into separate sections, use Split PDF.
PDF counts pages according to their actual position from the beginning of the file, while the number printed on the page may skip the cover, use Roman numerals, or restart at a chapter. Therefore, "page 10" on paper may not necessarily be in the 10th position in the PDF. Before entering the range, use the preview to count both the cover and the introductory pages.
