The tool removes markup layers such as notes and comments, so that internal communication information does not accompany the released version.
Annotations are different from text or images that have become part of the page. Highlight marks, stamps, or notes that were once flattened may no longer be considered annotations by the tool for recognition and removal. This operation also does not check metadata, forms, or attachments. Open the results and review the pages that had comments. Forms and annotations are different types of objects, so this tool should not be used as a way to delete entered data. After processing, check the fields because the PDF structure may vary between the file sources. If the goal is to flatten the form, use PDF flattening; if you need to delete data, edit the source file.
