The PDF page numbering tool allows entering a range such as 1-3,5 or all. Page numbers can be placed at the bottom left, bottom center, bottom right, or top center. You can also choose the starting number, so the main content can still start from 1 even if there is a cover page in front. In the template field, {n} is the current number and {total} is the total number of pages.
These settings are suitable for reports, theses, and records that require a format like "Page 3 / 20." The new number is placed on the available page so it may overlap with the footer, logo, or content near the margin. Before processing, review the layout to choose an empty spot, then check the first and last pages. The range determines which pages get numbers, while the starting number sets the sequence of inserted numbers.

Frequently asked questions
In the page number field, enter the range starting from page 2, for example 2-10, then set "Start from number" to 1. The cover page will not get a new number, while the second physical page starts the numbering sequence. If the document is longer, replace the last number with the actual page number of the file.
The {total} template indicates the total number of pages in the document, while the box controls which pages the number is inserted on. Since the presentation might differ from expectations when numbering only an appendix, check the first and last result pages. If a separate total is needed for a section, split that section into a separate PDF first.
The interface currently provides four positions: bottom left, bottom center, bottom right, and top center. The top right corner is not on the list. If that position is a required form specification, you need to use a PDF editor capable of setting custom coordinates instead of selecting an approximate position.
Access expires after one hour and cleanup runs every five minutes. Download any results you need before they expire.
