What is convert PDF to images?

The tool converts PDF to images by rendering each selected page into PNG, JPEG, or WebP files, then packages the images for download. You can export the entire document, a single page, multiple individual pages, or a range of pages. Because the tool renders the entire PDF page, text, images, background, and layout are all contained in a flat image of that page.

Choose 96 DPI if you want a lightweight file, 150 DPI for a balance of file size and clarity, or 300 DPI when you need to see more detail. The rendered images do not include PDF annotations. The tool accepts a PDF file up to 256 MB and returns a ZIP package if there are multiple images. The higher the number of pages or the resolution, the longer the processing time and the larger the download size.

How is PDF to image different from extracting images?

Convert PDF to an image rendering all text, images, background, and layout of each selected page into a flat image. Extract images only for the image objects embedded in the PDF, without creating an image of the entire page. Use PDF to image if you want to preserve the page's appearance. If you need original image resources, use the image extraction tool.

Should I choose 96, 150, or 300 DPI?

96 DPI is suitable for creating thumbnails or viewing on a screen when a lightweight file is needed. 150 DPI balances sharpness and file size for most sharing needs. 300 DPI produces more pixels, helping to read small details or for test printing, but the download package will be larger and take more processing time. DPI cannot add details that are not present in the PDF file.

Can I export only pages 2, 5, and 8-10?

Yes. The page field accepts individual page numbers, lists separated by commas, and page ranges using a dash, for example 2,5,8-10. You can also enter all to export the entire document. Each page is rendered into a separate image in the selected format and DPI, then included in the same download package.

How long are files stored?

Access expires after one hour and cleanup runs every five minutes. Download any results you need before they expire.
