Learn about this tool
The Excel to PDF conversion tool accepts an XLS or XLSX file up to 256 MB and uses the spreadsheet's print settings. Print area, paper size, page orientation, margins, and scaling will determine how the sheet is paginated. You can use the result to check the print layout before sending the data.
Formulas take the values saved in the file. Changes currently open on your computer but not yet saved will not be counted. Hidden columns, hidden rows, comments, and objects outside the print area may not appear. You should view Print Preview in Excel before uploading the file.
Export the sheet with the print area adjusted to PDF so the recipient can view the correct columns.
Check page breaks on the PDF before printing in bulk from Excel.
Create a PDF version for future reference without depending on active formulas.

Frequently asked questions
PDF adheres to the print area, paper size, and scale. A table wider than the print area will split across pages. Reduce it to fit the page or switch to landscape orientation in Excel and then convert it.
It depends on how the file is printed. If only the selected sheet is exported, set to print the entire workbook in Excel or export each sheet individually and then merge the PDFs.
No. PDF contains the calculated values and print layout, not the live spreadsheet.
