Questions about Office to PDF

Which Office files does the tool accept?

You can upload a Word file in DOC or DOCX format, Excel in XLS or XLSX, or PowerPoint in PPT or PPTX. Only one file up to 256 MB can be processed at a time. The tool does not currently accept ODT, ODS, CSV, or other extensions.

Why is the Excel table split across multiple PDF pages?

The PDF file uses the print settings of the spreadsheet such as paper size, page orientation, print area, margins, and scaling. Content may be split across multiple pages if the sheet is wider than the print area. Before uploading an XLS or XLSX file, set the print area in Excel, choose landscape orientation if appropriate, and review it using Print Preview.

Do effects and videos in PowerPoint still work?

No. PDF is a static format, so it does not retain animations, transitions, videos, audio, or clicks from a PPT or PPTX during a slideshow. Content displayed on each slide is usually placed on a separate PDF page. Check overlays, fonts, and multimedia objects to ensure no important information is missed.

How long are files stored?

Access expires after one hour and cleanup runs every five minutes. Download any results you need before they expire.
