The tool only extracts component images in the document structure, not taking screenshots or rendering entire pages like the PDF-to-image feature.
The result depends on how the PDF file is created. A scanned page usually contains a large image. Vector charts, text, lines, or backgrounds drawn with PDF commands are not embedded images, so they may not be exported. The output format can also cause image data to be re-encoded. Therefore, the received file does not always preserve the original resource's bytes or metadata.

A page may have no images, multiple images, or contain only vector graphics. If you want each page to become a complete image with the currently displayed layout, use a PDF to image tool.
Logos, charts, and illustrations in PDFs can be created using vector paths, text, or drawing commands rather than raster image objects. The tool only extracts embedded images, so those components might not appear. If you need an image of the entire visible area, render the page using a PDF-to-image tool and then crop the part you need.
Not necessarily. The PDF may have been compressed, fragmented, color-space converted, masked, or stored the image differently from the source file. The result could also be re-encoded because the tool allows selecting PNG or JPEG. This feature extracts embedded image content but does not guarantee recovery of the original bytes, file name, or metadata.
