Learn about this tool
Delete blank PDF pages automatically scans the document to find pages that are almost empty. This feature is suitable for batches of scans with interspersed blank sheets. Before processing, you can adjust the minimum white ratio and detection threshold. These two values determine when a page is considered blank, so be careful with lightly printed forms, watermarks, or pages with only page numbers.
The inspection results are packaged for download, without silently replacing the original document. The recognition tool is based on the visual image of the page and does not understand the meaning of the content, so a minimally designed page can still be considered blank. For important files, start with the default settings, open the results, and compare the number of pages before using the cleaned version.

Frequently asked questions
This value determines the ratio of area that must be recognized as white before a page is considered blank. A high level will reduce mistakenly removing pages with a few small details. A low level may recognize more pages but also increases the risk of mistakenly deleting pages with little text. Start with the default value and then adjust step by step according to the actual document.
No. The white ratio and detection threshold are two separate settings. The white ratio indicates the portion of the page area that should be considered white, while the detection threshold helps distinguish bright pixels from content traces. Scans with a gray background, paper gloss, or noise are usually sensitive to this threshold. If unsure, keep the default value and check the result package before making changes.
It is possible, but the results are not guaranteed. Recognition depends on the white ratio, detection threshold, and the clarity of the remaining details. Some pages containing only small numbers or light watermarks might be considered almost empty, while noisy scans may still be retained. Always compare the results with the original, especially for documents with archival value.
